We’re super excited to announce our partnership with the cosy ocean clean-up game Loddlenaut!

Launching on 16th November 2023 and published by WDC’s partner, Secret Mode, this creature-raising survival game will donate 0.05p per sale on Steam directly to WDC’s vital conservation work protecting whales and dolphins.

Loddlenaut is a creature-raising survival game that takes place on an ocean planet. Play as an interstellar custodian who is sent to clean up an abandoned planet polluted by a mega-corporation. Befriend local axolotl-like creatures (“Loddles”) and explore sunken corporate ruins as you revive the planet’s lush ecosystems.

“Ocean health is one of a number of critical environmental subjects that are important to many people,” says James Schall, VP of Puplishing Strategy at Secret Mode. “We felt the positive message of cleaning up the oceans of GUP-14 had such an obvious connection with WDC. The devs at Moon Lagoon were super supportive, and it was just the perfect partnership.”

“We are so thrilled to be partnering on Loddlenaut with Secret Mode.” says Sally Ward, WDC’s digital partnerships manager. “Not only will the generous donations from sales help our work to protect whales and dolphins from threats like pollution in real life, but this wonderful game is also a really fun and cosy way to learn and appreciate the ocean and inspire us all to keep it healthy for all marine species.”

Secret Mode has been supporting WDC for a number of years and selected WDC as their current Charity of the Year. Their generous pledge with the Loddlenaut partnership builds upon the Loddlenaut team’s charity work already undertaken in 2023, including Urban Beach Cleans, Climate Giant Project donations, and World Oceans Day Steam Sale participation.

Loddlenaut is out now and every purchase on Steam will support whales and dolphins: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1644940/Loddlenaut/
