Introducing WDC Ambassador RTGame

The games community is always fantastic for coming together for a good cause. It really is quite shocking just how much good we're able to achieve while we're playing games and hiding behind monitors. But it's really important work and important that we come together and it's fantastic to see.

RTGame has been supporting WDC since 2021, through his incredibly popular streams during The Jingle Jam charity fundraising event, where his community has so far helped to raise over £144,000 towards our conservation work.

Some of the projects RT and his amazing audience helped to fund include our work to prevent whale and dolphin entanglements in fishing gear in Scottish waters, developing our programme in The Faroes to stop the Grind hunts and helping us expand our education work in Scotland, as well as refurbishing our Scottish Dolphin Centre. In 2023 we were very pleased to invite RT along with members of The Yogscast to visit our Scottish Dolphin Centre to see first-hand the work they have supported.

RTGame, is an Irish-Canadian YouTuber and live streamer. He is known for his humorous commentary during gameplay, and often plays games in unorthodox or mischievous ways. He began making videos in 2011, began streaming in 2016, and experienced a surge in popularity in 2018. The incredible impact made by RT and his community has helped us make huge advances in our conservation work over the last few years and we are so honoured and grateful to have his support.

RT is also now the proud adopter of Charlie the dolphin who has become a much-loved and talked about member of RT’s community.
